What to backup?

If you want (you should!) to backup your Squeezebox Server installation, you should at least backup

  • your music
  • your playlists, including Favorites
  • your configuration
  • additional plugins you've installed

Music backup is discussed in the Beginner's Guide.

Finding your configuration and plugin files

If you want to know where you can find configuration and plugins, open Squeezebox Server and go to Settings -> Status. There you'll find the Preference Folder and Plugin Folder lines indicating what you should backup.

Open that folder in your file manager and copy its content to a secure place. Or have your backup program back these items up.
