Talk:Adding Chinese, Japanese, Korean, etc. Fonts to Your Controller

From SqueezeboxWiki

Jump to: navigation, search

Hi,

Thanks for this option. I used it on my controller and it works fine for my Korean titles. However, I have some German and norht European music with some Ö, Ä and Ü. Now these are displayed as the Korean letters have been before. Not optimal yet. Is their a font out their including both: Ö, Ä Ü and 한국어

Please let me know.

Greetz, Konzales

This does not work with SqueezeCenter v7.4

The controller automatically asked to update to the latest firmware when the SqueezeCenter server on my PC updated to v7.4. This procedure does not work with the new Duet controller firmware. Would appreciate if someone can find a fix for this. It is a pain in the neck that the Controller does not display CJK characters now.

Fix for controllers with version 7.4

I have made a solution for users with software version 7.4 installed on their controller. The solution is based on Mgee's script and font file, and my only contribution is changing the source in the script file from mnt/mmc to media/mmcblk0p1. This is necessary since the new Software version will change the mount point of the SD-card. Otherwise it works as described in the wiki.

The revised script file can be downloaded together with the font file here: Android_Fonts_for_SB_Controller_v7.4.zip
