Overview

IRBlaster normally uses an IR emitter to send IR codes to other devices. Some devices support IR input/output via a cable.

Example: I used something like a RadioShack 42-2387 http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2102949

Generally 3.5 mm (1/8") miniplug cables are used. The connections are designed for mono cables but stereo cables should work too.

Compatible Devices

Connection Type Manufacturer Model Comp? Reporter Notes
3.5 mm miniplug Yamaha RX-V995a Yes

SuperQ

3.5 mm miniplug Marantz SR8400 Yes Mark Lanctot

Use "FLASHER IN" plug. Do not use the "RC-5" plug if you have to learn the IR codes, see here. The "RC-5" plug will require a 3.5 mm miniplug mono to RCA adapter cable.
